New AA pickups

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Today I noticed some mild chasing, so now they are separated-better safe than sorry with these rather expensive, hard to find fish. I guess they were just stick next to each other for comfort until they got used to the tank. For now, I've split off 3 fish from my 75 into a 29 gallon including the flagtail. For their current sizes, it works, but it's a very temporary situation. Now the plan is to, as soon as possible (Thanksgiving/Christmastime?), set up my 120 (4X2X2) that I always forget about that's been in my garage (just need to get it to stop leaking) and divide my fish between the 120 and the 75 (one flagtail in each, obviously), and hopefully within a year, definitely 2, get a 6-8' tank and then upgrade everybody. (turtles to the 75, 75 fish to the 120, 120 fish to the 180+ and use the old 55 turtle tank as a sump for the big tank)

why dont u jump from 75 to 180. i wasted money buying a 75g, then a 125 then 180. sold both 125 and 180 still got the 75 but upgrading to a 300 -_-....everytime uget a bigger tank, the next thing u wana do is get a bigger one.

...Cause I HAVE a 120. I just need to seal it up better and set it up. As much as I want a 180, that would require me buying one. Once I have the money, I'm skipping a 180 and going up to probably a 4-500 gallon.

good job.

flagtail can not tolerate another flagtail. Again unless you have large enough tanks to where territory is not an issue.

With most multiple flagtails, the dominant will KILL one by one until you only have 1 left.

Did they have any odd balls or sweet rays? Was it the one on Sawmill rd?

They had one ray left. I can't remember what species though. I don't really remember what else they had, but yeah, it was the sawmill one

Right now, since they are pretty small, they are in a 75 gallon and a 29 gallon. Hopefully within the next 6 months, the one in the 29 will be upgraded to a 120. From there, I'm not sure where they'll go. Hopefully I'll have room for 2 6'+ tanks by the time they are getting close to full size. If not, I might have to sell one, but we'll see. I eventually want a tank at least 8'X2' for my clowns, so one will go in there.
