So last night I got the new ac110 up and running and I noticed that there was an grinding sound coming from it, the sound comes and go's every couple minutes (or so) so after about a half hour of this I took out the propeller and put it back together again and started it up. Same thing again but I noticed that if I have the flow fully reduced that it doesn't make any noise.

Any thoughts on whats going on?

something blocking the flow?

thats what happens with my emp 280 sometimes

Are bubbles getting into the intake?

How would I go about fixing the problem if that's what it is?

Try taking the cover off? That's what was causing noise on mine.

Usually bubbles will come form a bubble wand or something, move the source of the bubbles, or move the filter.

Right now the only thing on the tank for aeration is the AC.

After playing with it for a while...if I have it on full flow the noise is constant, anywhere in the middle for flow and it's every couple of minutes(usually), no noise on the lowest flow setting.

Taking the cover off doesn't make a difference.

Try taking the pump off, just give it a twist and pull, it will come off. Check, clean, and put it back together. Sometimes if it's not fitted properly, it will make strange noises.
