Hi all! I just got this brachyplatystoma from the lfs. Just to confirm, this is a capapretum right?

If you wanted my advice based on extensive, expensive, and miserable experience, keep it alone or with absolutely the meekest of tank mates. They are exceedingly skittish and prone to exceedingly blind darting and badly injuring themselves to the point of one day perishing from hitting a wall hard enough.

I see the tail of armatus or something.

Yes it’s an armatus. Is it bc it’s very aggressive?

Haha! I also have an Asian aro and an armatus in the tank. Both of them get along well so far. Hopefully things won’t go wrong
