NEW Acrylic tank build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Awesome vids, extremely helpful. Question what do you figure the size and cost would be for say something around 75 - 80 gallons? Or is just more cost effective to wait and buy a used glass aquarium? I had no idea Acrylic was so expensive lol! Though I suppose an option would be buying a sheet or two and doing a plywood build as well. cheers!

I find acrylic is cheaper then glass locally.. usually its much much more. If you want to build something smaller, like a 75-80 gal, its in your best bet to build a couple of them, other wise, your better off buying a second hand one like you mentioned. Unless of course, you need custom dimensions.

what no leak test?
psh only 4.5 stars out of 5
:grinno:

I did do a leak test... and actually filmed it.... But it was boring, and took up too much time. I didnt want to make the series any longer or any more boring then it already was.. lol

You'll see the tank filled with water in no time though. Stay tuned.

I am curious why you decided to have your top on the inside lip as opposed to actually sitting on the top. Is this just your personal preference or do you have some other reason.

Personal preference. I find it looks a lot better, but harder to install i suppose.

great video buddy

Thanks!
