I would not do anything until you talk to the company. I'm sure you spent a pretty penny on that thing so it should be perfect.

is the crack deep enuf to make a leak? or is it a shallow crack?

ya i am not going to do anything untill i speak to the seller.

the crack goes almost half way through.

if all it takes is just the weld on solvent, that would be a relief.

That's good advice. If it's a brand new tank talk to the manufacturer. If it's used, contact the seller. Before doing any repairs, do a search here on the forum on repairing tanks.

yeah silicone is a great idea:screwy:
dont touch it unless you consult with the seller, you could void somthing and be stuck with a broken tank. your on the right track.

it would be easier fillin in the gap if it was just a chip of the ol block! lol!

repairs from a dealer could proably cost you, did you have insurance on that big tank?

Was it a private sale.. Or did you actually buy it from a company... ? If it is from a private seller.. you most likely are in a as is purchase... Just guessing..

If however you purchased from a dealer and it arrived this way ( that means you didn't install anything ;) ) you might get through a replacement... I wouldn't do anything if it is from a manufacturer.. That is just insanity:) If you ask me :)
