still swimming along, dunno how he feels but he looks healthy enough, prolly wont know squat for atleast a week.
He's up and swimming which is good. Must be nice to have the space to just throw a 24" cat in when you want.
did you get the hook out?if yes,did it come with organs attached to it?b/c if it did then it wont live but you may get lucky if its just part of its throat.The only thing you'll need to hope for now is it can heal from the injury as well as deal with the water change and shock.They're very strong fish though and you should be okay.I hope you realize he wont stay that small for long and will eventually eat anything smaller then itself.good luck and continue to show his/her growth in future pics
thats why its in a 1200 with a rtc for a future tankmate. very well aware of the danger to the smaller tank mates, the jd's will prolly get moved, the tinfoil barbs, oscars, jags, and pacu should do alright with it so long as they stay to the upper waters and away from its mouth.
got the hook out, it looked to be hooked in the throat and not the stomach but it was a close call, im hoping he can heal. when i see him eat it will determine whether or not he will survive.
That cat is a beast!!! Hopefully the hook didn't injure him too bad. Hope he makes it cuz he looks impressive in your pond!!!
