+1 saw an 18inch mbu yesterday, like a large pineapple sized head!
 
Thanks everyone. I'm just trying to get him to eat now... Anyone know what's best to fatten a little one up?
 
I know i've read like apple snails or ramshorn snails are great for them. You could set up like a little 10 gallon just to breed them in and You will always have some food for them. If not I don't see why some good ole beefheart or bloodworms wouldn't do the trick.

I tried fd mysis with no luck. I'll pick up some bloodworms on the way home. Any other ideas anyone?

My fahaka was already eating the following at 1.5"

mussels, market prawns, scallops, clams, blood worms, baby cray fish and even pellets...

But please do avoid beef heart, since they dont normally eat red meat...

Tried pellets and he didn't even look at them and I don't want to starve him. He's eating fd mysis shrimp right now and i'm gonna pick up some clams and frozen shrimp tomorrow. Should I feed the shrimp
With the shell
On or off though?

At that size chop off a small piece to feed him, since they dont need too much to be full...

As for the shell, i guess you could just take it off till hes a little bigger...

Oh and ramshorn snails are good too at that size
