Years ago I rescued a similar size one from a LFS I worked in whilst at School-at the time I didn't believe Conicts could get so big. What threw me as well was the large nuchal hump. It was a superb show fish but unfortunatley one day several weeks later jumped through the plastic cover and I found it dead.
Thats a steal you got there my friend and yes thats a monster.

its hard for me to pass on any nicely sized con, lol..usually the ones here are around 3 1/2 inches, but very thick, when i saw this one my heart stopped, i almost didnt believe it was a con at first, hah

oh man, that blows, i would hate to go in my fish room and see any of my fish on the floor
at least he was in good care for the last weeks of it's life

u have a rare fish right there a rare convict what iam i saying i have never seen a 7incher befor and i bet very few other fish keepers have either good luck with him get those fins patched up and send us a new pic of giant convict in perfect form.

I do not understand why more people do not have convicts..they are really beauties.. i do not have any either but not because i don't want to i never see them anymore.. This one is beautiful.......... i will get a few too in time.

most people see them as feeders..
they have them here in every LFS i go to and they're always there for long periods of time.
they have so much personality, and they dont back down from anything, thats why i love em'

I know they breed easily and i have often heard that people raise them just for feeding.. it does not make sense to me that something this pretty would go for that.. I will definitly raise a couple and buy them next time i see them.. yours is beautiful.
