When we caught it we were like " Heck yeah! Small bass for the tank!" get it home n we were both like " WTF is that thing!? That's not a bass!" kinda P!$$3D us off! Lol

Looks like a rock bass to me

They do have red eyes. Eyes look red in the pics IMO.

No matter what it is, it's in the family Centrarchidae.

It's a Rockbass x bluegill haha. RockGill xD. I would like to know the answer too ! Such a unique little guy !
