Today I recieved my fish order from Ken at FishFarmUSA. First off I have to say this was the best packed fish order I have ever received in my 10 years of fish keeping. Very nice and the communicaiton back and fourth was perfect.

My order consisted of a large male Geo Altifrons, 2 Heckeli, and 2 pearsi. To make room I took my severum to the LFS and I will soon be taking two of my Flagtails (anyone in the Chattanooga TN area want a flagtail?).

Hi... Nice pics of great geos.. Congrats on the buy from Ken.. He does have some nice fish... I agree with Peter it's a real kick to watch them sift thru the sand.. Good luck with the tank and more geo pics are always welcome..Sue:D

I may try sand later on. Changing it out would be a nightmare at this point but I may add some to one end. One of the heckeli has a bent tail. The other one showed this too but his seems to have straightened out so hopefully in a couple days the bent one will too. The large Geo is a little on the skinny side but after a week or two he should fill out and I will post some updated pics.

The pearsi are very cool fish. No fear in them whatsoever and they are beautiful. Can't wait until they get big.

The tail bending (upwards, right?) may actually be a defense mechanism. Is it bent all the time or only when other fish are approaching from behind? My balzaniis did it the first few days in my tank but soon stopped.

Having sand substrate also makes it a lot easier to feed the eartheaters - they tend to like sinking foods that often get lost in the gravels.
