  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Can they get along? I heard they could be restless comes breeding time.

Interested in getting a few myself but am not sure how many I can have in the same tank....say if you are getting 4, what sex ration would you want?

The tail bending (upwards, right?) may actually be a defense mechanism. Is it bent all the time or only when other fish are approaching from behind? My balzaniis did it the first few days in my tank but soon stopped.

Having sand substrate also makes it a lot easier to feed the eartheaters - they tend to like sinking foods that often get lost in the gravels.

I think you are right on the tail. I noticed yesterday a small white spot of fungus on the tail. This morning the tail is almost straight so should be good going forward.

I have 3 heckeli and 2 geos in my 240. So far so good of course they are still small. I have no idea if they are male or female at this point so we will see what happens over the coming months. I will keep everyone posted.

Gorgeous eartheaters.....:grinno:
Why are you getting rid of the flagtail? That are awesome fishes.
