New albino birchir

When i went to get the albino birchit at the store the guy said it was blond but a still got it and he gave me it for free but its blind and has 1 side fin any tips on this guy he is abt 4 inch

Don't put him with any aggressive eaters or he may never get any food, other then that Polys rely mostly on scent, and are practically blind already, so that won't affect him much. As for the side fin, might be a lil gimpy but should be able to live a long and full life

How do you know your poly is blind? When it goes up for air it might not balance out or wobble when coming down to land and land on its back but will eventually flip it self over do to its missing fine. Bichirs sniff out there food so make sure you have enough for him to eat in case you have fast eaters in your tank, and albino bichirs are slow growers.

The missing fin won't be a problem. I have a bichir with 2 missing fins on one side and she's doeing fine.
