Yes and no. There are Tigers, "Common", Red, veil tails (long fin) and albinos, but they all get the same size, so they're really just different colors, except for the veil tales which I think are hot. They are VERY messy fish, and they will eat anything that fit in their mouth (and try for things that can't). They'll be the first fish to the glass when they see you coming, hand-feed almost automatically, and have really cool personalities. A must have...



Yep, I've been wanting one so I think I'll go looking this weekend. Needs to be big enough to not be Oscar food.

wow you will really enjoy a bichir.. here are my twins...opps well here is one with the ropefish.. wrong pix..but the other one is exactly like this one..cannot tell them apart.. they are great! i will take a better one later.

What are you feeding them and how big are they?

Senegals are all I ever see in my LFS, and they're usually 3" or less... Good prices, but they wouldn't last a night, and there's a GOOD chance they'd be swallowed up on the way out of bag.

mine are about 4.5 inches now..i feed cichlid pellets and algae wafers and frozen blood worms.. i hope you get a big guy.. you will enjoy him!!

lol right, well theyre wrong. the wild oscar is cool but i like the tiger better.(the wild is the all orange one right?)
