Hi all ,I just got a new Ablino red oscar baby 3 days ago from LFS , it's about 2 inchs so, and lovely deep orange whole body
I got him home and match up the temperature and put him in a 35gal tank now
He seems very stressed stay and hiding in cave at all ti me , since now day3 nothing been improved, he does not come out and not eating ,is it normal? Or how can I do anythinbg to help him come out and I can feed him
I already switched all lighting at all time

Is the tank cycled? And how was it cycled.

The only thing that you can do and which is the only thing that can help is many water changes, I'd start doing daily ones.

The water condition is good
This is not a new tank it's a established tank for couple years already it's like a grow out tank

Who says so, your or the fish? You maybe o.k. swimming in that tank water but the fish is obviously not.

Even more so a reason to do water changes. The tank is old enough and has probably build up stuff beyond your testing abilities.....which is normally the issue...and more reason for water changes....

Yup will do a API test kit to check/test now will let you know the result

Just done test
ph7.5
ammonia 0
Nirtrie 0
Nitrate around 20-25
I am using two filters 1.eheim pickup 120 650L/H
And a 2.Sunsun 303B 1400L/H

Seachem martix and marine Pure bio balls tray each and finally seachem purigen

The tank used has grow red tiger Oscars and redhead cichlids and just moved them to a 125gal tank

Apologies for the blunt answer but I could not care one bit about the API tests you're about to conduct. If the fish is not showing natural behavior it doesn't care about your testing kits too....

Just do the water changes, stick to them daily and you'll give the fish a chance of recovery or managing whatever the issue is. It will give you more time to observe and make a proper diagnosis. Even if the issue is not directly related to water quality, water changes are essential to keep a sick fish alive until one figures a better course of action.

Any chance you'd have a TDS meter and give me tap and tank levels?

Not sure how your tank is set up but from experience I have added more hiding spots, dimmed the lighting, and try not to disturb them to much. Attempt to feed every 2 or 3 days. Could just be his personality. Just got 6 juvie trimacs and they all act different. Some will come to the surface for food and are pretty interactive as far as fish go . Others hide and rarely come out to eat.
