Here's a few pictures of my newest angel. I'm not sure what kind it is but the color and the blue hue is beautiful.

Looks like a Zebra Angelfish. How old do you think it is? I like the neon blue on the fins!

This is what my adult breeding zebra looks like.

Beautiful! I'm not sure how old, I bought it last week from a local mom-n-pop store in town. The body is about 2" diameter. I attempted to get a male female pair. They get along well, so we'll see. I was leaning toward Zebra. How can you tell if they are wild caught? Does the gold crown coloring have anything to do with it? I'm pretty new to angels.

2 inches... sounds like it is around 5-6 months old. I have no idea about wild caught though.... The only way to tell if they are male or female is when they are breeding. I'm pretty sure the gold vs green crown just has to do with subdivisions in the strain of zebra angels... How big of a tank are they in??

Beautiful angel! From what I've read on the TAFII forum (The Angelfish Forum II), is that these are called 'Silver' angelfish.

A Zebra would be what you are attempting to pair it with. The zebras usually have more stripes than silver angelfish.

My Silver has the same blue color to it, makes them just as nice as philippine blue angels IMO.

the tank is 3ft long, 2ft deep.....45 gal. You know you're weird of you watch your tank more than your TV........and you must be really weird if your tank IS bigger than your TV

lol yeah my tank is WAY bigger than my TV haha, and yeah i vote its a normal strain silver variety but a very nice one, as for wild caught or not a store will tell you if its wildcaught and its price tag will be higher than captive bred ones. but there is no way to tell from coloring, my wild angels have that exact same orange on their head and bluish hue when they are happy
