NEW AQUASCAPE FOR MIDAS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Joe,

Your tank looks great, but that midas is awesome!

How are you liking the sand compared to gravel? Do you still like the light color over the dark?

How do you keep the detritus off the sand between water changes?

Thanks, the sand is actually Aragonite (Crushed coral) and so it not only buffers the water harder (which the Midas seems to prefer) but it has more mass than sand and therefore sinks easily with the use of a vacuum. I love it and have this stuff in all my tanks.

I'm using it in my tanks too! Good to see you around Joe. You consider putting a BG on this tank? :D

Are you still feeding NLS btw? I don't recall you ever concluding anything on your thread.

U too Clock, yeah I have considereda BG, just need $$$$$
Yes I feed NLS to all but this fella, got some Xtreme food (Says monster on it ;) )for him at no cost and he seems to LOVE it.

I did conclude that NLS exclusively fed enhanced the coloration of my Mbuna. Although I confess to still feeding a variety of food :)

How are your pals? Any recent pix?

Lots of pics, kind of waiting for someone with a decent camera to come out and shoot some stuff before I really show off. :D Got 4 tanks running at the moment, mostly CA cichlids with a SA community in one tank.
