I think it looks great the way it is. Everyone wants to make their tanks into ampitheaters with all the decorations on the sides and back of the tank. It's nice to see someone break the mold once in a while.
thanks for the encouragement. I measured my aro last night and he is slightly over 16". He looks great and growing really fast still. He seems to enjoy the driftwood and thats really all i care about

The tank and the driftwood are obviously lerger than I had thought at first glance of the pictures. I thought for sure he was closer to 12". 16" is right around my favorite size for silver aros. They have enough mass to look impressive, but they still maintain a lot of the pink in the fins and scales. Mine is just now hitting the 12" mark and can't wait for him to get just a bit bigger.
