Trev, I'm not sure the thing is gonna fit in mine..... The stand is 2' the tank is 2 1/2, and the canopy is like 20" I'm gonna have like 1-2" between the ceiling and the canopy when sliding it on.
I have nothing for filtration but ideas.... That's half the holdup. I got a bunch of decent ideas.... too many.
What I do have is like 20" of room under the tank and a bunch of room next to it. I have like 5 acrylic 55 gallon tanks I planned on using. I have 4 brand new 55 gallon plastic drums I wanted to use as settling/vortex chambers. Could use pond liner or a rubbermaid for a sump and just put it next to the tank.......
I need a plan. No plan and there's no attack. No attack and there's no victory.
Need to figure out lighting as well. Can I put sunlight from the basement window (directly above where tank will sit) in the tank? Canopy is open on the back if I remember right.
Open to ideas......

i would just do an extra large sump and a bio reactor.
wish u lived closer so we could hook it up!!
i actually found a 8000 gph pump that only pulls 300 watts too. i can get the name if u would like

I planned on using at least one of the 55 gallon drums for a reactor. Figured at least 1 acrylic 55 set up strickly for mech filtration, 1 for jap mat, 1 for ceramic rings. Prolly use the current pond filter rubbermaid for plants.
Also clueless about what to put on the bottom of the tank.... Substrate for Marbles is pretty tricky. Barebottom seems to wash them out. Anything dark makes them darken. Experimenting with orange sand right now....
