Finally got my hands on one of these. Picked up the "vampire tetra"at an LFS for $34. A little beat up from my trio of rowdy rainbow cichlids but should heal quick. Looks to be an army to me? Thoughts?

Has a yellow sheen to it like tatauaia. Would let it settle in and take a side profile with the tail and anal fin.

Thanks. Really hoping for an armatus. What led me to the conclusion was how different the adipose fin contrasts the tail. Hard to tell from the pictures but the adipose is considerably brighter than the tail.

I meant adipose but iPhone auto correct really messes with me.

But yea I’d the adipose and tail are different colors then it’s armatus.

My new guy is settling in now. Still not interested in anything other than feeders. Hope to start breaking him of that soon. In the meantime a few new shots. Still think its armatus?
