new aro owner here please help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I personally have always fed small Aro's with softer smaller floating foods such as freeze dried mysis shrimp, freeze dried bloodworms, pellet would be a 1mm size floating pellet. After Aro hit the 7incn mark i start offering larger food items floating food sticks preferably Hikari, and crickets once a week. Had a Silver Aro that would pick off cut Tilapia I would purposely pin to the glass, had the water lowered for this.:)
note taken, thanks again for your help....if he makes it through this I will change diet immediately

No problem thats what makes this forum great, just make changes gradual. Keep feeding whatever Aro is eating well, then rotate food items. Other members have their own method, and will chime in, enjoy your Aro.:)

A baby aro needs to be kept warm 75 is too cold. I keep babys at 84. I also agree with a diet change lose the hakari pellets. Add an air stone to the tank.
