New Arowana

Hi I just purchased this new silver Arowana, he is about 5-6 inches and I have been having trouble in getting him to eat. I have tried some worms, pellets and some crickets. I haven't seen him eat them but they ain't there. Idk if another fish ate them. What should I try next? Or what should I do? He looks healthy...

did you ask the previous owner what he was eating? Might have to get some live fish
 
hmm thats weird if the person you got it from said he was eating pellets but you cant trust someone taking your money haha i got my aro onto freeze dried krill first then started putting only pellets i would not put any feeders in at all because then he is going to want only those so just keep putting only those in and he should eventually eat them once you see him start to take it in his mouth and spit it out dont get discouraged your close at that point! good luck! what are his tank mates btw and what size tank?
 
How long have you had this arowana? Seems to be an overabundance of "My arowana won't eat" threads lately. I would only feed pellets, nothing else until it is eagerly eating the pellets.
