I did a little redecorating today
Some gravel, A few pieces of granite,
And some plants. Make it a bit homier
for the fish. I'm sure I'm not done,
But it should help any stress they may have.
Just an update on my 4" EBJD.
When I got him, He had lost almost all his color.
I treated him and the rest of my new arrivals for a week,
And fed them 3 times a day.
They are all looking great!
So here is a picture of when I got him, A couple days later, And now.
My 4" has completely recovered.
In fact, He was running the tank.
So I moved him to his own tank.
I set up the new tank, Similar to the old tank.
After a few days, I decided he needed a girlfriend.
He seemed very interested, Until she quit playing hard to get.
Now she keeps trying to coax him to the clear pvc pipe I placed in there.
And he runs away. LOL
So here is a current picture of him, A couple of his girlfriend, And one of his new tank
My Dempsey's are growing fast.
My new Blue genes, have grown from 3/4" - 1" to 2 1/2" - 3" in a month.
And my EBJD's have grown from 1 3/4" - 2" to 3" - 3 1/2" in the same month.
I feed them bloodworms 3x a day, Whatever they eat in 5 min.
With an emperor 400, And a eheim 2217 on a 55 gal tank.
Weekly 20% water changes. And I keep the temp above 80 degrees.
Here is a shot of my favorite EBJD, He's pushing 4".
The water is a little cloudy, Just feed them. But the filters will clear it up in an hour.
