Well just picked them up less than an hours ago and brought them home. And to top it off I got them for CHEAP! just had to promise to take good care of them. I believe 1 of them to be a southern painted and the other looks like a mississippi map. The map seems so far to enjoy dry land in the basking area, and the painted like to swim, and then hang out half in/half out of the water. Currently untill they get a bit bigger I have them in a 20gal LONG tank.

and Maya (our pure bred female great dane) is 7months old, and thought she'd like to partake in our new arrival party as well!

Very nice, I like turtle but dont have the money for the right set up and so, unlike most people, I am putting it off. I suggest seperating them in the future.

Oh man...please tell me you did not just give beer to your dog! Not a good idea man! But nice turtles. I was so close to buying one today at the LFS. It was soo hard to tell myself NO YOU CANNOT HOUSE ONE OF THOSE. My other side was saying well sure you can...atleast for now

thanks everyone..
From what I've been reading the map will get about (~6"male, 12"female) and the painted will get about (~8 inchces male or female). No the dog didn't get any beer. She did get a half bowl of gatorade though!
