Haha good to hear. My vet has actually reccomended giving my dog gatorade before when she was dehydrated. That is a really nice dog BTW.

Chad

well that was a short lived happy moment. today I came home from work to find the southern painted dead. he was more lively than the map when I first put them in the tank but after 1-2 days, the map seemed to be more mobile while the painted just seem to become more and more lazy or sluggish. the last few days have been about the same maybe even a little less movement, but still eating, fromtime to time, nothing visually wrong otherwise. I'm thinking maybe he was just weak and or tired and ended up drowning cause I found him kinda stuck to the inlet on the HOB.... but used to watching them swim up to around it all the time with no problems...

not really :(

really? I have several friends who keep turtles and they do so, and have never seemed to have a problem...

I had a snapper, a slider and an eastern box (seperate tanks). They will eat gravel, small rocks, or anything they can fit in thier mouths. Sometimes it doesn't cause any problems, but why risk it.
Best of luck!
