Question I have a new baby black on the way. Baby tank will be a 29 gallon with AC 110. My question is if I turn down the AC 110 all the way and put a sponge on the intake, will the current still be too much? Should I just do a sponge instead?

Do not say it still has the yolk sack....

I do not think the 110 is too much.

Provide floating plant cover and if you can get it a piece of floating cork.

Be sure to cover any and all openings, irrespective of the size of said holes.

the black doesn't have its yolk sack, but still pretty small (still has the black and yellow coloring). I'm just afraid the current will be too strong and stress the little guy out. AC 110 turn all the way down in a 29 can still make a strong current.

Being that this is the arowana sub forum I think it is safe to assume it would be a baby black aro.

OP I think you should be fine with that setup. I had a baby silver in a similar setup and it was fine till I upgraded his tank.

Oh, duhh! I saw the post on the MFK homepage and didn't find it searching the arowana forum...should have looked closer though, woops...
