How's the tank decor? Try rearranging the tank and give them more hiding spots. That might help.
It was previously decorated for three African Cichlids and there should be enough hiding places. The dats aggressiveness has gone down a good bit. I think they'll do fine as long as I keep a good eye on them for a few more days.
 
when i introduced my 10" indo to my tank with a 19" ck they fought for the first two days but after that i have never seen any aggression between the two.

Thanks for the input, I think right now the datnoid is a lot more afraid of the CK but he gets a peck at the CK every once in a while. I'm still trying to get the CK on pellets.

How Big is your Ck. Mine would just eat straight feeders untill i starved. While the other fish were eatting pellets it will try to eat pellets it was very timid.But the next few days it starting pellets.Now my ck eats sinking floating, massovore, and somtimes carrots and algae wafers lol
