New Baby Ck

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have added multiple knives to established tanks with a larger knife. Just keep an eye on the little guy when you add him. There seems to be a period when they establish dominance which usually entails some biting. Each time, it lasted 3-4 days and the smaller one did sustain some minor injuries, but then they mellowed out. They live fairly peacefully now with only an occasional confrontation. I still have problems with my royal knife because she is very mean in general depending on her mood. But the clowns seem more peaceful.

Wife just added the little guy to the bigger tank yesterday. He is doing okay holding his own, the larger one gave him a few good shots last night after lights out but the little one is a bit faster so he made out okay. keeping a close eye on everyone and making sure their bellies are full of krill and not baby.

Thanx for all the advise everyone.:)

There is usally probblems with haveing 2 ck's togather when they are bigger at least, when they are small there should be no problem and with there adult size coming in at 3 Ft i dont know when they would start to have a problem

I think it depends on the fish. I've seen many "pairs" of CKs. I'm not sure if they've been brought up together or introduced to an established tank with one of the CKs being there for awhile. I'd try, but I'd keep an eye on it.
