Yea only thing you can do about it is to order online but I like to see the fish im buying with my own eyes before I spend the money. Ive had bad experience in the past. The Big als here is a great store tho, looots of stock and always get nice fish in. Yea high prices but there is absolutely no where else to buy non community fish around here :(

Nice, im hoping this little guy is a black mask but Im not sure how to tell this young. Ive only had him in the tank for 2 days now and he doesnt stay in one place for very long which is awesome to see
 
Awesome pickup. I love mine, too. Definitely very active fish. I don't think the black mask comes in until they get into the 6" plus range, but if you keep him on a darker substrate you'll see the beginning signs of it faintly. I could see mine very well on black gravel, and now he's on a light color gravel and he's mostly silver. Definitely noticeable between the two shades of gravel.
 
Just wanted to do a quick update. Ive owned a variety of piranha before I got my GATF and all I can say is this elong is by far the coolest one. Hes like a little dog. Always comes up to the glass to beg for food and follows me as I walk by the tank into the other room and just watch me lol
