new baby jar

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its been nine days since i first posted and about 12 days since i got my jar. still at about 4'' of course. he's eating mealworms, bloodworms, small cubes of market shrimp regularly now. he's been eating regularly for about 2 days now (mealworms are his favorite). his stomach looks like it'll explode, i think i'll cut back. should i keep this up until he's bigger or should i start pellet training right away?

should i not offer variety as i pellet train though? best to be consistent during the transition? if i keep giving him mealworms or shrimp every now and then he may hold out for them right?

thanks in advance for the replies, i didn't know i was such a noob with fish until i took on arowana.

^^^true...

alot of people say that you shouldnt starve a juvie aro...but, i did and he accepted pellets within the first week of training..i continued the training for another week consistently feeding pellets everyday...then switched it up on him..(pellets, F/D anything, crickets, etc.) ..one year later he'll accept anything ;)

this worked on my Jar...it may or may not work with yours..Good Luck
