That's double what they are going for over here in the U.S.
Supply and demand I suppose....CITES process doesn't make them easy to export. Months of paperwork and high export fees....not to mention the cost of overnight shipping to another continent....

unless you are buying a lot, it isn't worth it... and even then...
Once you've paid someone to do your paperwork properly (one error and your whole shipment is gone), gone through the hassle of getting import docs and paying for shipping and the vets fees... puts a lot of people off. It's either bulk or exceptional quality or it's not worth it.
