Everything is perfect, I tested my water the other day, 0 ammonia, 5ppm nitrate, and I don't remeber the exact nitrite but it was definitely low. MY filtration is an fx6 with 3 liters of seachem matrix, 2L of purigen and the rest is filter floss, and 2 caf 250g sponge filers crammed with seachem matrix as well lol. Does this fish have a parasite/illness?

If nitrite in the water then it is not perfect in any perspective.
That in combination with bullying from other fish can stress this fish to death.

Would you suggest bringing him back to the store, or moving him into my 65g tank until he is larger(if I move him I would feed everyday instead of every other day to increase his growth)

Thread resurrection... how’s this going?

Did a search as I’m in the same boat. One bass terrorizing the other (4) smaller/similar size (not by much) ...

Fins torn keeping water clean and adding salt...

Thought about removing the bully... I’d kind of like them to sort it out...

Here is the update. Everything worked itself out, the aggression went away from pure time itself, and somewhat heavy feeding. Recently two bass were killed by my "loving" Oscar. From my experience one bass will assert itself as alpha and the aggression will die down between the others.
