this a link to my video of them spawning..http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=287314

i changed the substrate and raised the water level and temp. i feed them alittle more often. they are about 1 1/2 years old so its their first spawnings. now i have hard water here so im dealing with that, my nitrite and ammonia are nil, but my nitrate is high( have added chemicals to reduce it) ph is about 6.5 to 7(alittle low but working)

WOW! Very nice... How many are there? Just by estimating of course...

ive had a couple hundred and it has went down from there. i have lost most of mine from week 2 to week three. i have a new batch of about one hundred. so heres to hoping. im building a plexiglass divider to put in the parents tank to keep them in the original water. i believe water changes and parameters in that tank will have little effect on the babies. its frustrating to spend so much time and attention to have them all die off. ive been feeding them frozen baby brine shrimp and some first bites. i havent been able to put a finger on exactly which part is causing the die off, but trying different things.

Hope these make it all alive.

Good luck! Hope this time it's more successful.
thanks, me too.... not all of us can be an expert at 13:naughty:

yeah, i just had 2 more small spawns yesterday. i cut a 1/4 inch thick piece of lexan and made a divider in the parents tank. i will see if i have better success this way.
