i dont know about you guys..... but is a healthy looking fish!

lol, Thats a pretty ugly one, with these sb there is always some chance for dd looking fish, hopefully mine does not turn out like him...

Thanks Notes!

Thanks for the assist on the how, but I have to disagree on the 1000 gallon plus for a 20 inch rtc.

It is an extremely messy eater and active bottom fish. It would IMO be a 800 minimum. I would want to treat that expensive of a fish REALLY well.

For a 20 inch fish (when it reaches adult hood) ????

There are messier fish that we don't suggest that size for. Do filtration and frequency of water changes not even exist in this equation?

Like an Oscar. Just because a fish is messy, doesn't mean it will require a larger tank. Better filtration and weekly maintenance will cover that. Besides that, I'm sure Jays 500 gallon is more than sufficient.

What an awesome little guy. Hopefully I'll get my hands on one some day!

We shall see what the future holds, right now I am just concerned he has not eaten yet... very un red tailed like.

You got him a couple days ago? It takes catfish a few days to get acclimated from my experience. That includes my giraffe cat after I
Put him in the 300, took about 5 days.
