Research before buying any other fish

yea i did though...... i am 20 year olds now. i was fish keeping since i was 3 year olds.

for now i am starting on monster fish tank

glad to see you are going to get rid of your RTC... and fyi... just cuz the aro stays at the top and the rtc is on the bottom... turn the lights off and watch the rtc go all over the place... catfish are noturnal so you don't see where they go til the lights are off... and that's when he will mess with the aro... and as stated earlier... if the rtc messes with the aro... you not only have to worry about him eventually eating him but aro when stressed will try to jump and the rtc might just make it jump out... and i would really hate to see a tig get messed up by a rtc since the tigs are more expensive and harder to find... i hope you work everything out... everyone makes messes up sometimes and sometimes it works... but not sure i would risk having 1 fish mess up 2 different ones... just my 2 cents..

well i got two options...

1st. i am waiting for someone to get my rtc

or

2nd i am waiting for 7ft fishtank to come so i will put my rtc in there.

for now my arowana is ok cos i feed him well. i am glad that my arowana is not stress now.

So if you get the 7 ft fish tank and put the RTC in there... for 1 that is still not big enough for him for life... and what is the footprint of the tank? With a aro and tig you will need a min 30 inch wide for those 2 for life... and a 8 inch tig in a 3ft tank... how wide is the tank? 12 inches? You will need to get him out of there in a couple months they need room to swim and plenty of current... not to mention a 3ft tank with a RTC tig and aro... a month or 2 and it will be badly overstocked and probably crash and lose them all... after going threw you earlier threads what happened to the pacu? And the 8 ft tank you where get for them? I feel sry for these fish cuz I I doubt you will get them in the proper home... I hope you prove me wrong and take the advice from people on here...

yes its 5 inchs long tho.... nah they wont eat my arowana cos he is in top of the tank. rest of them are in bottom of the tank.

Ohhh i would be creful. I have a Silver Arowana and I have been told and seen the outcome of a Silver Arowana And a RTC when there in the same tank. The RTC 14'' Silver Arowana 24'' The RTC bit down on its side and killed the Aro So i would be Carefull

rtc will be in 7ft by 2ft by 2ft. (if its too big then i will put him in my cousin tank (9ft by 4ft by 2ft high. its crazy tank). for my aro and tig will be in 7/8/9ft by 3/4ft wide by 2/2.5ft high in future.

my tank is 3ft long by 1.5 wide by 1.5 high so dont worry i will move them in soon.

my old pacu threads lol. i used have them in my old 3ft fishtank. two year ago, i put them in my cousin tank(9ft). for now they are 2ft long WHAT A HUGE PACUS THOUGH. (tomorrow, hopefully i will make a new thread of my cousin tank. shall i do it?)

well you might have a cramp tank before so your rtc ate them.

in my cousin tank, they got 4 huge pacu, two oscars, marble catfish, two cigar sharks and rtc.

you know cigar sharks, they are 1ft long. his 1ft rtc and 1.5ft marble catish, they are calm with these cigar sharks. it is so weird though these catfish never eat any live fishes though......

fyi for your cousin 9 ft by 4 ft by 2ft... would be big enough for him for a long time... but depending on how much he has in there... it is still not be enough for a RTC for life... that's only ruffly 540 gallons... no where near what everyone says they need... my buddy got one before he knew what it really would get to... i have a 600 and know it won't be large enough and will be used just to by time til someone will take it... and you keep talking about all these big tanks... and in ALL your threads it only shows one tank... which is outside and no proof for 1 that you have it... and the only reason i don't believe you is because you have been talking about you having big tanks for what a year now??? time to show pics of the new tanks or stop wasting everyones time... i am glad i could help you with your tig... but there are a lot of people out there that would give it good home with the RIGHT tank... if you can't please give it to someone that can... those fish don't come in all the time that's why they are so expensive... and sometimes only breed once a year... so be respectful to these guys... i am more than willing to help but the more i see your threads i see that you seem like so many others on here that just want a BIG fish without the means to keep them...

ok i am telling you a truth right now.... i never get any monster fishtank in my life and even in my house as well. when my cousin was 14yrs old in 2008 so he bought a 9ft fishtank. i was like wtf and so jealous of him.

for now i am really want to get a massive fishtank in this summer term.(june 2011).

i am not going to waste everyone's time and you will see my cousin 9ft fishtank tomorrow.

the reason why i purchased tigrinus, rtc and arowana cos i want to see them to grow as big size then i will get a massive tank in my house. i will be able to keep them for life if i get a monster fish tank.

just go buy/keep the damn fish already if u really like it with a mind set that arowana will need huge tank as they grow up especially with the fish u mentioned, they all grow to monster size

prove me wrong but everyone gets these fish with full intentions of getting a bigger tank and then never do... just tired of seeing it happen over and over again
