juvenile arowanas arent too fond of high flowing water bro...

they prefer the calm water when theyre young...itd be like puttin you in the washing machine :)

haha good example i think thats exactly it. Since the water isnt all the way at the top (to give him room just incase he jumps) the water splashes pretty hard. Il try to find an adapter for the filter so the water goes throgh a tube right inside the water to avoid spashes and ripples.

thanks for your opinion!

went to home depot and got 1/2in pluming piping for only $1.65 it was 40feet long lol and i only needed about 2 4-6in pipes haha water is soo much calmer.

im going to try and introduce the food on the other side of the tank now just so he can get adjusted.

wow 4 hours after i installed the pipes my aro is now making laps around the tank!! This is the most active i have seen him!! :woot:

thanks for the suggestions!!

finally got a pic il post more soon =]

RU serious. You don't use chemicals to keep ammonia and nitrite levels at zero. You do need to treat the tap water to remove chlorine though.

my dad used i think its called special blend..with his aro he had after each water change.. i have yet used any type of stabilizer except for this chlorine chemical..what do you use to take the chlorine out?

Prime works great. Make sure you get it before your next water change. Dont worry about other chemicals to keep ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites down, once you start messing with those, tahts when you get fluctuations.
