Not true actually as adults they will migrate back into freshwaters... This is a remarkable fish that is alittle hard to say is "Fresh", "Brackish" or "Marine" as it will live in all types of water through out it's live cycle. For the best results you can hope for with this type of fish, Freshwater... as mentioned till around 4-6" then slowly adding salt to the tank over a few weeks to months to bring it to brackish, then over the next few years you can either leave it or move to full marine.Fishyfan;1526943; said:They can only be kept in freshwater while juveniles.
