I'n not sure mate, i don't know who makes these backgrounds, they're definitely not made by back to nature, i know that because i only paid £70. For a BTN you'd pay around £200 for that size.Peanut_Power;1756608; said:Thats awesome!! Do they make a SA biotope too? Very very cool!
In my previous post i mentioned that you drill a inlet hole and a outlet hole. Once the background is completely sealed around the sides and bottom, you cram a load offilter sponge behind the background. A pump is then fixed behind the background where the outlet hole is, in this case i used the pump from the juwel filter. Also the heater can be kept behind the background. Once everything is switched on, water is obviously drawn through the inlets, through all the filter media and then back out of the outlet hole. I believe this is a fantastic method of filtering your tank, i use it on my 300g and i've never cleaned it once and thats been running over 2 years. If you imagine the whole of the back of the tank is one giant filter, the amount of surface area is huge. These kind of filters run for years without having to clean them. Thanks again goose.goose_uk;1756929; said:Forgive my ignorance nutty, but how does it work as a filter?
(looks amazing by the way!!)
