New Bala

What you all think of this Bala shark? Biggest one I've ever seen in person so I bought it!
Note:
The one in the bottom left of the second picture is 10" so there's a comparison.

Is he skittish like most Balas? I like how they look and how active they are, but I stopped keeping them because they always banged into the glass when I did a WC or anything near the tank. They were one of the first fish I ever had in my 10g setup back in 5th grade. I'd get another one if I could find one that was big enough and chill and calm and didn't always freak out.

Nice bala. How many do you have? They are a great addition to most tanks, they look cool, are not aggressive and get good sizes.

Not sure if it is tank size but in my tank they are not skittish at all, also as they get bigger and get more used to the surroundings they will be more relaxed.

Also they will be less skittish if they are kept in a group of 4-5 or more, as they like to swim in a school/shoal.

Mine are pretty chill when I first put
Them in the tank they spazzed for a few hours but after that they were good

I have 3 between 8-12" now. They do fine as a school but I want to add at least 2 more. I have a 220. They are schooling with the 5 Kelberi Bass I have growing out in here right now, I thought that was rather odd. I didn't know bass schooled? Maybe it's just where they are smaller?

Nice pickup, I have 6 balas ranging from 7-12 inches. They don't seem to be so skittish in this group and at this size.
