Thanks for quick reply, I had a feeling it was female after catching a glimpse of the vent. How large would you expect a female to get? A lot of conflicting sizes i"m reading on the web. Mfk seems to be the best place to ask.

Nice fish. I had a breeding pair a few years ago. Had to get rid of em though as they weren't tough enough to defend thier fry against my other big guys.
 
i had one of those more than 20 years ago and really haven't searched but haven't seen one since . i bought a arapaima or arapima (forgot how that's spelled) and when i went to pick it up he had a 7 incher in his tank and it went home with me . i think those are the nicest ones to me :naughty: ......
 
Gotta love snooks. theres a 7inch green male in the shop i got this gal from i was gonna buy it and see if they would pair off but hes super aggressive full on glass banger so weird seeing a snook go aggro.
