New Bichirs

 • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
1-10" female delhezi, 1-7" unsexed delhezi, 1-10" male senegal, 2-5" lapradei, 2-5"endlicheri. Thanks for the concern about the substrate, I've had some on these bichirs for over a year and got them at 3" and so far have not had a problem with any of them eating the substrate. I will definitely keep a eye out for any problems that occur.

Sweet stock, I have a 6" endlicheri myself!

Today's feeding. All doing well. One of the endlicheri breathes normally till it catches me looking, then I guess gets kinda stressed and starts to breath at a faster rate. I have hid a couple of times and watched, it will breathe normally for a while then speed up then back to normal. All the others just breathe normally. Happy viewing.

nice

Good looking bichirs.
In regards to keeping an eye out for problems with the substrate, the first sign is usually a dead bichir. A little late by then.
BTW, that del has some great looking stripes on it. Not too often you see them that thick and dark.

Thanks, I bought 2 delhezis at the same time, kept them together, fed the same, just about the same eveything, now one is 7" and the other is 11". They both have bright green on the edges of the dark stripes.
