Something else I've noticed is she has a very deep body. I've also noticed she has a very distinct yellowish underbelly. Both of which don't show up very well in the pics. But when they were fishing her out of the tank you could just see the size difference and it wasn't so much length as much as she was just wider from top to bottom. She put some of the 10"ers to shame haha. The awesome thing is I have a WC male in the big tank and I have been looking for a female for him and hopefully once she's ready to go in they'll be a perfect fit
 
Nice sen. Coloration reminds me of some rope fish. Good find!

She is already accepting pellets and is shoveling them down while I type
 
Yeah if they start taking a liking to each other I might pick up a 40B and see what happens with a tank to themselves
 
You look at the anal fin and if the anal fin is thick and bulky it is a male. If it is small and slender it is a female. When they are small however they all look like females so you have to wait until they are old enough to sex them.
