im shopping around for a 60" widescreen projection tv, anybody have any suggestions. ive been looking at phillips because i have a regular tv from them and love it. thanks in advance!:)

If you don't mind the larger frame, it's tough to beat a CRT. I've had great luck with Hitachi, Mitsubishi, and Sony (even though they're priced too high).

this is actually the one im looking at. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8185386&type=product&id=1164155949862
i like the fact that it doesnt need a stand cause im afraid of my wild 2yr old pulling a smaller one off a stand onto himself, and its cheap because im dipping into my house downpayment money.:( and i figure its got to be better than my 10yr old bigscreen was, even though its only 1080i instead of p, but who cares regular dvd and cable high def is only 720 anyways

I like it:)

Check out Hitachi and Mitsubishi too.

I totally don't know what that means, but I wont it.:ROFL::ROFL:

I would still like to meet the person that can tell a difference between interlaced and progressive scans anyway:)

i beleive somebody may have posted a very large post about the difference between them in a geek war over the xbox 360 V.S the Ps3.

Interlaced scans every other line, then goes back and fills in the gaps.

Progressive scans each line after the previous one.

Either way, it's basically scanned at the speed of light.

That's what I have and I love it. Had it for around 3 years now. And it keeps getting better, they are getting more and more HD channels.
