I have 2 black skirted tetras I adopted from someone who moved, they were in a filthy tiny tank, and oddly, very healthy.
In my big tank they are like little thugs. My giant goldfishs tail is all nipped to shreds from these to thugs.
for size comparison, the tetras are the size of a US quarter (coin) and the goldfish are about as big as a large orange.
I'm ready to use the tetras as bait when trout season opens.
and I secnd the pass on the pleco thing, I got one that was 2" long now its 12" long and I dunno what to do with the thing.
last night he sucked up one of my corry catfish and after a few nom nom noms spit the poor thing out. he was almost dead for a few hours but seems to have recovered.
Probably the corry cats fault, they like to school around him for some reason. I guess they like his algae wafer leftovers.
but yeah... BS tetras are tough and nippy.
