I will be taking monthly pics of this guy to see his progress, hopfully he'll keep his color and it will get more intence. I'll post pics 3 months from now of him and show the comparison.
i beleive from the pics and how young he developed the black to his finnage like alot of albinos, it will get worse as he ages. i sure hope for your sake, that doesnt happen but alot of the time, it does
Gee, I was thinking of buying some of those as well for my new 270g tank (after they grew out a bit in a 50g). They were going for 2 for $50 locally, I was going try 5 for $100. They didn't have as much red as yours and were only about an inch long. They were about half red and half white. I didn't notice any black but the tank was dimmly lit so who knows.
I remember a thread on another forum about those fish in the 2nd picture. It also showed a picture when they were adults and they didn't stay red like that so some were questioning whether they were dyed. The guy who owned them was in some other country if I recall.

they're not dyed. they are super red oscars. H20 aquatics sells them from time to time for some serious $$ (as far as O's are concerned). They look great!
Here he is in his new 40gal breeder tank. Xp3 for filtraion and a 200watt heater(w/heater guard) The lighting is just temporary. it has a 3000K bulb in it now, but im upgrading the lighting later this month. The lighting makes him look orange/yellow, so that has to be changed. I also only have a cheap camera, so the pics suck like always. pics were from 20mins ago.
