Went to Petsmart today to get a Red Devil and saw a unique looking Blood Parrot in the $9.99 Parrot Tank with all the other juvies. Its color reminds me of Vieja Synspila. Whats weird is it has a few whitish spots on the body and has a large black spot on the dorsal like flowerhorn females get. I will try to get some better pics as it settles, right now its really dark from the move.

Thats what I have been noticing a lot lately. I am also noticing a lot more deformed one as well. I did notice the new one I got has a slightly crooked face. I guess the farm has stopped culling the fish. My 3 oldest ones (One from Petsmart $10 tank, one from Petco, and one from Walmart) all have perfect parrot features.
 
mine was completely black finned when i got him but now has no black at all. man i love thoose fish though! nice bp's man!
 
Yeah its not a Kirin, but its also not full parrot.
Chris's parrot has some Kirin traits.
I think what you have here is a Convict x Parrot. Its a Jellybean convict, Only striped and looking much more like a parrot than convict.
I see alot of convict traits in the face and pattern. If he fades and keeps the stripes that will be a gorgeous fish. Either way, excellent pick up for 10 bucks.
