I was going to say that as well, ceramic tiles would work or slate rock over paper towels or carpet (for a more natural appearance, the leos could care less).

Another tip:

Leos also tend to pick one place in the cage to defecate, i place a paper towel square over this area, which makes removing the solid waste a lot easier. That way I don't have to spend 5 mins picking up little turds or take apart their setup to spot clean.

XD thank you. i'll do the same, though they're still a little too high strung to eat so they won't be doing much in that area as of yet.
