Thanks guys! I've seen some people do an excellent job of tracking their cichla's growth, which always makes for a cool photo-series, so I'm going to try to do the same. The pattern on their scales has already changed, and spangling is beginning to show - hopefully it continues and makes for a nice update in a few weeks
Here we are, a month later, and 1.5" bigger, up to 4.5". They're already sending water out of the tank, hitting freeze-dried krill, pellets, anything I drop in there. It's very difficult to nail them down for any pics, since they're constantly schooling with the redhooks, so these are the best I could manage with the cell phone.
Another month gone by, another update. One is 5", the other is 5.5". The gold is really standing out now, in the tail and on the gill plates as well. Hell of a vendor, that Wes.
