Some people
are very sensitive to that sort of smell! And let's face it, poop, (generally - before we get the exception to the rule police) smells.

But if the rabbit has a suitable sized enclosure, good thick layer of absorbent substrate and it's cleaned and washed every day, there really shouldn't be a smell that bad. I have two entire bucks who have particularly strong pee and poop, but even they don't really smell if cleaned out daily.
Perhaps I'm too used to cleaning out Brazilian Tapir enclosures.. THAT stinks
Lovely name your mum picked out, it sounds like something mine would pick out
Don't forget to feed plenty of hay every day to help wear the buns continuously growing teeth. Plus it ensures good digestive tract health
