I agree I dont want to see him get burned either and those plecos don't go for much around here, it just sucks to see someone stoked about there new fish only to get shot down and second guess their purchase that's all, not saying that's what the OP is doing ive just seen it before we all have.

I agree with you also. Ive seen it happen, its happend to me. I hope the op can use this experience and new knowlege for the future, and also hope he enjoys this pleco
