Got my first DSLR(Nikon D50). I'm obviously still learning how to use the camera and would appreciate any constructive criticism :)

Festae. A little history on the male festae...His first day in the tank he was being chased by my gold dempsey and ran right into a piece of driftwood. It's taken him a long time to heal but he is finally feeling better and eating well. He's skinny and in one of the pictures you can see the scrape along his body. He's a tough guy though and is now second in command in the tank :)

Nice angle shot for blood parrot, overall good shots of your fish, play more with lighting.

Personally speaking, i would learn to mess around with the Aperture VS Shutter Speed settings to help get those clear shots with excellent colors...

Right now some of the photos seem a little washed out color wise, although your shot of the Polypterus Endlicheri seems pretty close to being perfect (setting wise)...

Eitherway, my only real advise is to keep shooting and practicing... since thats the only way you can really learn how to get the best shots with your current kit...

not bad pics. save some money for an off camera flash. hang it over the tank. you will get far more dramatic shots and stop the fishes motion much better. I use two flashes above the tank. no need for a tri pod.
